From May 8 to 9, 2025, the second international congress "The long life of printed ephemera" will be held in Geneva. Geneva, an important city for the history of European printing, is also home to several collections of French and English leaflets, Spanish pliegos de cordel and Brazilian printed matter. The aim of this conference is to raise awareness of the richness of these collections, to take stock of current research in Western Europe, and to approach this production from a transnational angle with a broad chronological spectrum.

The covid 19 pandemic that, since 2019, has spread from China to the entire planet, draws attention to a phenomenon that has recurred throughout the centuries, that of epidemics and communicable diseases. First, it's important to define the terms of the subject. An endemic is a disease that is permanently rife in a given region, such as malaria. An epidemic occurs when a contagious disease strikes a large number of people at a given time. A pandemic occurs when a disease rapidly affects a large part of the planet.

This colloquium will explore the migratory experiences of exiles, attempting to highlight the preservation of their memory throughout their journey. Consequently, the organizers wish to place particular emphasis on the vital role of art in expressing the migratory experience. Emphasis will also be placed on the geographical writing of migratory journeys, revealing the geopolitical stakes and obstacles encountered. Finally, the debates will address the complex issue of integrating exiles into societies, while highlighting the importance of an anthropological approach to evaluating proclaimed rights in practice.

If the stereotype categorizes and simplifies the other culture, the other people, the other nation, the other religion, the other language, isn't it symptomatic of ethnocentrism? It would open the door to xenophobia and racism. But how can we explain the presence of positive, even rewarding stereotypes? If so, wouldn't it be a sign of friendship, respect, fraternity and admiration? Of course, these stereotypes are not without their faults either. The aim of this study day is to create a collective reflection on cultural stereotypes from an interdisciplinary perspective. The aim is to examine the circulation and use of stereotypes in different disciplines and linguistic and cultural areas. This call for papers is aimed primarily at young researchers (PhD students, post-docs, Masters students).

Djiboul publishes original contributions (in French and English) in the fields of Letters, Humanities and Social Sciences (Language Sciences, Art, Communication, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Anthropology...). In accordance with the cames code of ethics and deontology, all contributions are the sole responsibility of the author and not of DJIBOUL magazine.

What remains of Max Weber's ideal-types of legitimacy? This (overly) schematic question is a poor summary of the colloquium's purpose, yet it is its foundation. Legitimacy is the foundation of political regimes, and Weber's analysis of it has become a classic. Today, however, we need to re-examine these categories. Are they still relevant today? Have new types of legitimacy emerged? In new fields (such as climate change and the media)? At a time when it seems that the foundations of our states are being shaken by multiple factors, questioning the concept of legitimacy is of the utmost relevance.

This one-day workshop will first review the definition(s) of "world war", then look back at past wars described as "world", and finally look at imaginary world wars, either prospective (scenarios of a third world war during the Cold War, current scenarios...) or purely literary (the Picrocholines wars, those envisaged by Captain Danrit - Lieutenant-Colonel Driant - or more broadly in science fiction.

Since the 1970s, issues relating to violence against women have become increasingly politicized. Gender-based violence refers to all forms of violence committed by men, as men, against women, as women. Feminist researchers have taken the issue of sexual violence out of the private, intimate and interpersonal sphere, and transformed what were then considered miscellaneous facts into public problems worthy of collective action to combat them. The term "gender-based violence", in which the plural is important, also makes it possible to consider the plurality of forms taken by such violence: verbal, physical, sexual, psychological or even economic. The aim of this colloquium is to examine the modalities of public action in the field of gender-based violence.

The history of the separation of Church and State, whose epicenter is the law of December 9, 1905, has been the subject of abundant literature, albeit measured against the growing importance that the French public debate has accorded to the question of secularism over the past thirty years. The historical dimension of secularism remains to be written. The aim is to create a new dimension in the history of French secularism, by analyzing the way in which the idea of separation and secularism, from the launch of the debate on this subject in 1902, through to the legal stabilization of 1924 (agreement on the Dioceses) and the familiarization of French society with this reality some ten years later (1935), has been perceived by the social sciences.
