Since the 1970s, issues relating to violence against women have become increasingly politicized. By gender violence we mean all violence committed by men, as men, against women, as women. Feminist researchers have taken the issue of sexual violence out of the private, intimate and interpersonal sphere, and transformed what were then considered miscellaneous facts into public problems worthy of collective action to combat them. The term "gender-based violence", in which the plural is important, also makes it possible to consider the plurality of forms taken by such violence: verbal, physical, sexual, psychological or even economic. The aim of this colloquium is to examine the modalities of public action in the field of gender-based violence.

This thematic issue of the journal Éthique publique is devoted to the theme of ethics alerts, also known as signalling, denunciation or whistleblowing. Ethical whistleblowing involves revealing illegal or illegitimate practices such as corruption, fraud or harm to public health, to entities capable of intervening to put a stop to such practices. Now recognized as an essential tool in the fight against reprehensible behavior, ethical whistleblowing is gaining in visibility through high-profile ethical scandals that highlight the essential role played by a whistleblower. This issue aims to enrich our understanding of ethical whistleblowing by exploring its own motives, its regulatory framework, the legal protections to which whistleblowers are entitled in the face of frequent reprisals, the organizational factors influencing the effectiveness of whistleblowing, and its impacts, both positive and negative, on whistleblowers, their entourage and the entities targeted by their revelations.

At a time when the French Ministry of Health and Prevention is reflecting on the reengineering of nurse training, the place of these professionals around health and safety issues must be questioned. Indeed, while France is singled out as the worst performer in Europe in terms of fatal accidents, a 4th occupational health plan was launched in 2021 in an attempt to remedy the large number of accidents in the workplace. This plan, which ends in 2025, has defined priorities for prevention, improving working conditions and strengthening local support. As such, it offers nurses every opportunity to play their part in these schemes.

In the countries of the South, particularly on the African continent, recent years have seen numerous attempts to modernize mobility systems. However, these mobility models and the infrastructures that support them are rapidly being overtaken by unexpected uses, new technologies, new vehicles and new means of mobility, which can contradict these plans. This call for papers from EchoGéo aims to bring together contributions that present different examples and visions of planning, governance and the actual uses of different infrastructures and forms of mobility on the African continent. They will highlight the conflictual dimension of infrastructures and forms of mobility, as well as the importance of taking into account usage and mobility behaviours, the socio-cultural inertias that govern the spaces they cross or the impact they can have on the horizon of inclusive urbanism.

La Nouvelle Revue du travailfor its corpus no. 27, to be published in autumn 2025, is calling for articles on trade unionism and collective action in Africa. Contrary to popular belief, wage-earning and trade unionism in Africa are not disappearing. However, wage-earning - both as a condition of subordination and of social protection - remains a minority on the African continent, depending on national sectors and histories. The same is true of trade unionism, which, as a specialized activity representing workers' interests, is often numerically weak, with the exception of certain sectors or historical periods. In this singular context, what forms does trade unionism take in Africa? How can it shed light on the major contemporary questions concerning the contours of workers' defense, representation and collective action worldwide?
