A recurring object of study across the entire spectrum of the human sciences, the links between religions, communities and the individuals who make them up have never ceased to be interpreted as one of the tensiometers of the social body. Particularly on the American continent, where the destructive intensity of colonization has led to successive waves of migration, community and religious pluralism, from Canada's Northwest Territories to Tierra del Fuego, distinguishes the countries of the American continent from one another, but also tends to paint a common picture. To what extent is there an American specificity to religion and community? This is one of the questions that issue 18 of RITA sets out to answer.

For its March 2025 issue, the online journal L'Ordinaire des Amériques (ORDA) is calling for contributions on the theme of "Liberalism, neoliberalism, illiberalism and civil rights in the United States". This issue will be coordinated by Nicolas Gachon (Université Paul Valéry- Montpellier 3). This issue seeks to contextualize and exemplify what are often theoretical abstractions about liberalism, neoliberalism and illiberalism in the United States.

Issue 10 of the journal Dérivations will return to the question of housing. As numerous works in the field of critical geography have shown, the growing difficulties of access to housing are mirrored by the growing influence of the financialization of land ownership. This situation invites us to question the foundations of our conceptions of housing and property. The existence of a constitutional "right to housing" immediately highlights the collective nature of this issue. Added to this are ecological issues, such as limiting the urbanization of natural land and reintroducing biodiversity into densely populated areas. In short, the need to occupy space more sparingly and in a way that is more shared between humans and non-humans introduces new constraints and challenges in the way housing can occupy (or not occupy) space.

For its ninth issue, the Revue internationale environnementale semestrielle (RIES) from ASPROBIO AGM (an association for the protection of biodiversity and the adoption of marker gestures) invites us to reflect on and explore the highlights of current environmental events. The magazine therefore invites readers to explore and question the environmental news of the last six months and the following six months. Papers on recent world events are welcome. Papers may address the topics listed or any other subject, depending on scientific disciplines and methods. They may cross several axes.

At a time when new environmental standards are being defined, when natural resources are the subject of heated debate, it seems important to revisit the question from a long-term perspective, with an eye to transformations, continuities and discontinuities, accelerations or stagnations, and thresholds of reversibility in the exploitation of resources. These meetings will focus more specifically on the role of natural resources, and not just energy, in these rhythms of development and evolution, in the context of the long history of Western Europe and the Mediterranean region up to the 19th century.

The relationship between happiness and work in wage-earning societies takes many forms, and many disciplines can shed light on it. With this fourth issue, the journal RessourSES aims to enrich our knowledge of the link between these two phenomena by analyzing the diversity of their relationships and objectifying the wealth of social phenomena that contribute to shaping them.

Following the creation in 2023 of the Research Network on Innovation South of the Sahara (RRI2S for short), with the ambition of bringing together as many academics, researchers, students and practitioners as possible from all the countries of sub-Saharan Africa, RRI2S is organizing an inaugural event of its activities through a colloquium whose theme is "Innovation systems and policies for the inclusive development of developing countries". The general theme of this inaugural colloquium relates to the inclusive development of countries south of the Sahara through the promotion of equally inclusive innovation processes.

In June 2025, France will host the third United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, with some 120 heads of state and government, but above all hundreds of specialists and institutional and non-institutional players. This time of debate and sharing on the future of the oceans is an opportunity for the historical discipline to take up these issues. The focus of this international symposium is the Mediterranean - not just the sea, but the Mediterranean world as a whole. Mediterranean studies have been intrinsically linked with the "environment" since the pioneering work of Fernand Braudel. Today, environmental history no longer questions the Braudelian milieu alone, but the whole range of human and non-human interactions with the environment. The aim of this symposium is to take a fresh look at the Mediterranean through the lens of environmental history.

The world is in the midst of a "polycrisis", a tangle of crises that spans global systems. The term "polycrisis" illustrates how global crises are interconnected, intertwined and mutually aggravating. If this concept is used with greater clarity and precision than has been the case to date, it could provide essential new insights into our current situation. For this reason, the European University of Valencia is calling for papers on the following topics: conceptual approaches to polycrisis, the impact of polycrisis on the economy, artificial intelligence in the context of polycrisis, new inequalities generated by polycrisis, legal and political responses to the challenge of polycrisis, the environment as cause and "victim" of polycrisis, and the impact of polycrisis on security and human rights.

Face à l'âgisme is a call for papers open to all contributions that examine this notion from both a theoretical and empirical point of view. How should ageism be understood? What forms does it take? What are its effects, how is it experienced and what reactions does it provoke? The aim is both to make progress in the theoretical reflections underway in various disciplines, and to provide empirical support for a reality that is still not very visible (or even invisible), by highlighting the different forms and multiple experiences of ageism.
