Focusing on the colonial question in the exile press, the congress aims to discuss the liminality of experiences of occupation, dissidence, clandestinity and banishment in their relation to political expatriation, both in terms of the similarities of their psychological impact and the circulations they tend to foster. The aim is to encourage studies that explore the ideas, images and debates around colonialism and colonial realities mobilized by exile periodicals, both in their diversity and by highlighting convergences and divergences.
