The Société française d'histoire urbaine (SFHU) is launching its fifteenth thesis competition for 2023, aimed at young PhDs in urban history. Through this initiative, SFHU aims to encourage young researchers and promote the widest possible dissemination of their work.

Entry requirements

The prize is open to doctors who have defended an urban history thesis, written in French, during the (calendar) year 2024. Habilitation dissertations and theses from the École nationale des chartes are not eligible.
