La Contemporaine and the Groupe d'information et de soutien des immigré-es (GISTI) are organizing a colloquium entitled "Par le droit, pour les droits" to mark GISTI's 50th anniversary. The colloquium will look at the history, actions and archives of GISTI through the eyes of activists, historians and sociologists at Paris-Nanterre University.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the first bioethics law, the Droit public fondamental association at Université Jean-Moulin Lyon 3 is organizing a symposium on the close links between bioethics and fundamental rights. The event will address the many facets of bioethics - from the right to a child to the protection of medical and health data, via the role of European litigation and the "right to die" - and its entanglement with fundamental rights and freedoms, in particular human dignity and private and family life.
