The relationship between religion and "crisis" is a multifaceted phenomenon. On a theoretical or empirical level, the aim is to analyze how crises of exogenous, endogenous (or mixed) origin affect religious institutions, actors, practices, values and so on. On an epistemological level, we'll also be looking at what it means to study the "religious in times of crisis", the place of the social scientist and his or her relationship to the field in a crisis context.

The symposium proposes a reflection on the actors, modalities and temporalities of the territorialization of maritime spaces over the long term, from Antiquity to the present day.

The status of actors deserves particular attention. In the first instance, we have chosen to focus on political actors who have or claim a monopoly of force in a given maritime space, and who use military forces to ensure a more or less continuous and ubiquitous presence at sea.

The conference will focus on research and learning in Europe and the role of university libraries as support units for universities in both processes.
